Cox Automotive announced an integration that sends UVeye inspection data into vAuto appraisal and inventory-sourcing workflows. The vendors described faster offers, better condition capture and automated merchandising possibilities.
Those benefits were company and pilot-dealer claims, not an independent ROI study. The dealership decision should turn on measured lift and workflow reliability.
Start with the operating path
Stores should map where the inspection occurs, who reviews exceptions, how appraisal values change and what reaches the vehicle record. An automated scan still needs accountable human review.
Measure more than speed
A pilot should compare capture rate, appraisal variance, missed-condition cost, offer acceptance, acquisition volume and cycle time. Data retention, access and integration failure handling belong in the evaluation.
Performance statements are vendor and pilot-customer claims; independent store-level validation is required.
