Toyota has set a $34,980 starting MSRP for the 2027 bZ XLE front-wheel-drive model and says the electric crossover should begin arriving at U.S. dealerships in September. The published price excludes dealer processing and handling.
The 2027 lineup retains XLE and Limited grades with front- or all-wheel drive, a North American Charging System port, Plug & Charge capability and battery preconditioning. Toyota describes the model as unchanged from the prior model year.
Pricing gives stores a concrete September message
The base MSRP and expected arrival month give sales, BDC and inventory teams enough information to begin launch preparation. Toyota also lists a manufacturer-estimated 314-mile range for the XLE FWD Plus configuration, providing a long-range talking point within the lineup.
Stores should keep MSRP separate from transaction price, taxes, registration, dealer-installed products and processing or handling charges. The release provides an expected month rather than an exact on-sale or delivery date.
NACS access still requires careful explanation
A native NACS port broadens the fast-charging locations a buyer can consider, but connector compatibility is not the same as identical charging speed, availability or payment access at every station. Plug & Charge and battery-preconditioning explanations should follow Toyota's stated requirements and supported networks.
Training should separate manually activated battery preconditioning from functions tied to navigation or connected-service availability. Teams should verify current subscription, trial and network terms before presenting them as permanent standard services.
Toyota's Limited AWD range conflict remains unresolved
Toyota's August 4 release assigns the Limited AWD a manufacturer-estimated 278-mile range in its narrative, then lists 299 miles for the same grade later on the page. Dealership Tech Report is not choosing between those figures without a corrected manufacturer source.
Until Toyota clarifies the discrepancy, stores should not publish a Limited AWD range comparison from this release. Product sheets, BDC scripts and digital merchandising can use the confirmed pricing, grades, charging hardware and arrival window while flagging that range line for correction.
What dealerships should do before arrivals
Build a grade-and-drivetrain training sheet from confirmed specifications, identify which charging and connected features depend on network or subscription conditions, and audit every range figure before it reaches customer-facing channels.
Inventory and sales managers should define how incoming bZ units will be charged, demonstrated and handed off. A consistent explanation for home charging, public charging and app setup will matter as much as the headline base price.
Toyota's source gives conflicting 278-mile and 299-mile estimates for Limited AWD. This report preserves that conflict and does not select a figure. Arrival timing is stated only as September 2026.
